In a landmark move for Canada’s largest HVAC co-operative, ClimateCare is proud to announce the acquisition of Canco ClimateCare—a respected and long-standing member of the ClimateCare network. As of July 21, 2025, Canco ClimateCare officially became part of ClimateCare Corporate, marking the first successful acquisition completed through the Navigator Program.
This milestone reflects ClimateCare’s growing commitment to supporting members through seamless succession planning, ensuring long-term sustainability for both the co-op and its individual contractors.
A Seamless Transition for a Trusted Name
Founded in 1984 by Bob and Nancy McKeraghan, Canco ClimateCare has been a fixture in the Newmarket HVAC industry for over four decades. Known for their dedication to customer service and community, Bob and Nancy joined ClimateCare in 2001 and quickly became active contributors within the co-op.
“The Navigator Program provided us with a seamless path to transition our business,” says Bob. “We’re proud to see Canco continue within the ClimateCare family.”
Nancy adds, “It was important to us that the business remain in Canadian hands, with values aligned to our own. ClimateCare was the clear choice.”
A Proof of Concept for the Navigator Program
Developed to help HVAC contractors plan for retirement, succession, or sale, the Navigator Program is a ClimateCare-led initiative designed to provide structure, resources, and peace of mind. While many members may choose to sell to other contractors within or outside the network, this acquisition proves the viability of another option: direct integration with ClimateCare.
What This Means for Canco Customers and Staff
Canco ClimateCare will continue to operate under the ClimateCare banner and maintain its local presence in Newmarket. All team members are being retained, ensuring continuity for customers who have relied on Canco’s expertise for years.
